Overnight Dog Boarding

When dog boarding at Meegan Kennels, you’ll be entrusting your pet to people who know and love animals. We know that clean, well-designed, and managed facilities are important to you. At Meegan Kennels, you can be assured that our kennels are cleaned and disinfected daily; that fresh food and water are always available; and that pets have safe access to outdoor play.

But what you really want to be assured of is that we’ll give your dog affection and loving care while they’re here with us. We are dedicated to making your pet an extension of our family. Simply put, we will. It’s our promise.

  • Dogs have free access to 16’ indoor/outdoor run areas. Runs are naturally ventilated and have heated floors.
  • Outside runs are 4’x12’, with larger runs for giant breeds.
  • Outside runs are shaded with 90% UV protection.
  • Double 6’ high-security fences surround kennel runs, while a 6’ security fence surrounds grass play yards.
  • Runs are thoroughly disinfected after each pet goes home.

Check-in and check-out hours are:
Monday – Friday 9 – 11 am
and 4:30 – 6 pm
Saturday – 9 – 11 am
Sunday and Holidays     7 – 9 pm

We take care of your pets 365 days a year but are closed for check-in and check-out on the following days:
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
Open New Year’s Day from 7-9 PM

A Few Helpful Tips

We’re always happy to give you a tour in advance of any boarding reservations you might make; just stop by any time during office hours or call to schedule a time that is convenient for you.

To reduce the chance for upset stomachs, we always suggest you bring your pet’s own food from home.  In the event that you prefer not to, we feed Pedigree brand dry and canned foods. Our staff can administer any needed medications at no additional charge; just bring enough for your pet’s stay along with directions for use. Each kennel can be furnished with an orthopedic bed at no additional cost, upon request, but feel free to bring a favorite toy or beloved blanket or shirt from home to make your pup more comfortable.

Vaccine Requirements

Dog Boarding

For the health and safety of our boarding clients, all dogs boarding at Meegan Kennels must be up to date on all core vaccines. These include canine parvovirus (CPV), canine distemper virus (CDV), canine adenovirus (CAV), Canine Influenza Virus Vaccine (CIV) and rabies.  We also require your dog to be current on canine parainfluenza virus and Bordetella bronchiseptica. We verify vaccine status directly with your veterinarian or provider. In addition, we request dogs to be flea free and up to date on flea and heartworm preventives. Should we discover that a boarding pet has fleas, we will give the pet a flea bath, which may incur an additional expense to the owner.

Dogs receiving for first time must have completed both boosters to board.

The time between vaccines and coming to the kennel/groomer (no less than 7 days).
